Forta of the Ukrainka dam line is one of the most genetically remarkable mares of Polish breeding. While a rather plain mare, her sons and daughters were known for their tremendous racing ability, making the Ukrainka dam line a cherished and valuable line. Perhaps her greatest son was the extremely significant son Czort, but her influence remains today very wide spread in Poland and the world.
