Recommended breeding crosses:

As a sire, WA Pejczyk has significant contributions to make with regards to beauty, structure, motion, athleticism and disposition. Pejczyk's pedigree packs the extremely concentrated blood of Weilki Szlem via Czort (3 x 4), as well as the important -- but rare -- Kuhailan line of Kryzyk.  Witraz branch of Kuhailan Haifi is also present via notable dams Bandola and Ellora, though further back (4 x 5 x 5). Pejczyk has proved an excellent prepotent Kuhailan pedigree, both for line breeding and use as an outcross.  Below are a few of the possible combinations that could be expected to work well, though it is by no means meant to be exhaustive.

  • Witraz via *Bask++ mares - Pejczyk contains no *Bask++ in his pedigree and is the logical cross for those mares that are heavily *Bask++ bred, particularly if the breeder wishes to remain within the Kuhailan strains. Pejczyk's sire, *Europejczyk crossed particularly well with this type of mare during his stay at Meadow Wood Farms and we are experiencing the same with the son. WA Pejczyk's first foals out of a *Bask++ bred mares are exceptional. Examples:  WA Miraczyk, Sugar nd Spice, WA Elegancja, BFA Matisse

  • Witraz via *Aladdinn mares - The other extremely prevalent Witraz sire line in the US is, of course, *Aladdinn.  Pejczyk is already proving his ability with these mares, and his *Aladdinn crosses have done exceeding well in the show ring.  Examples:  WA Miraczyk, Allyshah, BFA Matisse

  • Witraz via Celebes mares - Obviously *Bask or Aladdinn are not the only sources of Witraz, and particularly appealing with Pejczyk are the use of Celebes via Etap or *Elimar.  Pejczyk on 3 x 3 Witraz (through *Elimar and *Bask) mare MHR Sweet Dreams has produced the champion Sugar nd Spice.  Additional use of Witraz with other Kuhailan lines has also been successful.  The 4 x 4 Witraz mare *Boruta, with the Kuhailan Afas sire line, produced the exceptional WA Borkata.

  • Witraz via *Wiking/ Monarch AH mares - For those looking for likely stallion candidates for their *Wiking or Monarch AH daughters, Pejczyk would be an interesting choice. It would be the logical extension of the Celebes cross alluded to above, this time through the Etap son Wiking.  This Kuhailan Haifi line cross, adding some refinement without loss of athletic ability.

  • Czort via *Sambor mares - In addition to Wiking and his son Monarch AH, *Sambor is another great racing stallion imported from Poland. Pejczyk should serve as an excellent cross on these mares as it would be line breeding the great racing sire Czort of which Pejczyk is 3 x 4.

  • Comet/ Probat line mares - *Europejczyk crossed extremely well with these sire lined mares in Poland, as well as, his stay in Meadow Wood Farms. Given this, we would expect this to also be an excellent cross for Pejczyk, bringing in the additional Kuhailan line of Kuhailan Afas.  Pejczyk's first foal out of a Probat lined mare is of excellent quality.  Example:  WA Borkata

  • Negatiw/ Bandos or Salon mares- Pejczyk can be expected to add structure and athleticism to Negatiw line mares. Pejczyk could be expected to shorten backs, improve coupling and correct legs, without detracting from the long, well-shaped necks.

  • Palas mares- Pejczyk can be expected to add athleticism to Palas line mares. Since his sire crossed particularly well with this line in Poland as proven by the excellent examples of Album and Ankara -- both out of Palas daughters.  We would expect the same from Pejczyk.  In fact, we have already had excellent results with a mare out of a Palas mare.  Examples:  WA Elegancja

  • French bred mares - For breeders wishing to enhance refinement and type without risking losing athleticism, Pejczyk should certainly be considered.

  • Egyptian bred mares - The Polish/ Egyptian cross is becoming more common with the rational of bringing more athletic ability to the beauty of the Egyptian horses.  Pejczyk is being used on Egyptian mares for the first time this year, we are looking forward to seeing the results of this cross.

  • Domestic outcross mares - Obviously with vigorous line bred stallions such as Pejczyk, they are extremely useful as outcross sires.  His book is being increased to used on more of these mares, but initial outcross have been successful.  Example: GF Jet Stream.

  • Bey Shah bred mares - Bey Shah has had significant influence on the US market and we are pleased with the first crosses on this sire, though through use of him as a maternal grand sire.  Pejczyk could be expected to correct legs and other structure deficiencies, while not diffusing the "showy" personalities.  Example: Allyshah and HLL Allyczyk.

  • Problem mares - A plus for WA Pejczyk is his remarkable fertility as is detailed above. This makes him an excellent candidate for "problem" mares in that he limits any stallion issues in getting the mare in foal. Such mares find a much easier time to conceive when the fertility of the stallions is so high.
